Executive Management Board changes at Arctic Paper

Hans Karlander, Sales & Marketing Director of Arctic Paper S.A., has decided to leave the company. He will move on to a new executive position within the construction industry.

Hans Karlander joined Arctic Paper six and a half years ago and has through these years actively contributed to the growth of the Group. In the last few years alone, the company’s sales volume has increased substantially in spite of a tough and challenging market.

Arctic Paper S.A. has played an active role in the on-going consolidation and re-structuring of the paper industry. During 2008 the Group acquired Arctic Paper Mochenwangen in southern Germany and in October 2009 the Group was listed on the Warsaw stock exchange. In 2010, the coated fine paper mill of Grycksbo in the region of Dalecarlia, Sweden, was acquired.

Today, Arctic Paper is one of the leading producers of high quality graphic fine papers in Europe. After a tougher first half year in 2011, the company again, as previously reported, showed a strong financial result for the third quarter 2011.

Hans Karlander will leave the company on May 31st.

“Hans will be greatly missed by many of his colleagues. We have worked very well together and he has been an integral part of today’s robust commercial processes within the company. We wish Hans continued success in his career and will continue his good work here. Our strategy is solid and the future looks relatively promising despite the many challenges within the paper market” says Michał Jarczyński, CEO of Arctic Paper S.A..

For Hans Karlander, moving on in his career has been a tough decision:

“I have really enjoyed my time with Arctic Paper. This is a company that has maintained its entrepreneurial spirit and combined it with a good portion of modern corporate thinking. Leaving so many friends and competent colleagues is hard. The company has a strong product portfolio and I am sure that the growth will continue also in the years to come. I wish the Group all the best moving forward” says Hans Karlander.

The recruitment process for a successor has now begun.
